Controlled substances doses down 10% since House Bill 1 took effect

According to the Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy, the total doses of controlled substances has decreased by 10.4% since House Bill 1 took effect.  Additionally, the ODCP states that prescribed doses of the following commonly abused substances have also decreased:

Hydrocodone: down 11.8%
Oxycodone:  down 11.8%
Alprazolam (Xanax):  down 14.5%
Oxymorphone (Opana): down 45.5%

House Bill 217, passed in March, made some changes to House Bill 1.  Check back for helpful information about those changes!
